FAUX POOLSIDE CATE

Cate was born in West Palm Beach (note that Celine Dion birthed out her celeb babes there), so she is a true beach-baby. Well, mostly

pool baby at present time. The thing is, see that big pool in the background? Yeah, me, too.

Not sure she knows it is there. Cate, you are sitting in a plastic pool your Mommy got you.

Gaz knows the ropes of a real pool.

But, you loved splashing with toys in that tiny ring filled with water,  and Brittany was super sweet to get it. You both look fabulous and I love you, both for being so much fun.

CATE IS BOOKISH

Reading runs through her veins on both sides. Her Great-Grandfather Conn read Zane Grey as a child, her Gaz read Edgar Rice Burroughs, her Father read Stephen King. Um, he Gigi read, Donna Parker and Nancy Drew. I mean I'm talking about KIDS here, okay? I will let her Mommy fill in the blanks from the Hinkle side.

-A MINNESOTA KID VISITS CATE IN AUGUST

In August, Cate (and Gigi, Gaz, Brandon and Brittany) welcomed Gretchen Lowery and her almost two-year-old son, Owen. They flew from Minnesota just to visit us.

Cate was fascinated by the 'much older' Owen.

Brittany showed Cate to blow bubbled. Owen and Reggie couldn't be bothered.

Owen takes Cate for a ride. Flashing forward in my mind to future date when it will be a car or a flying something-or-other.

Cate shares with Owen. They were amazing together.

However, Cate wasn't at all sure she wanted to share her Gaz, who was babysitting them while her Mommy, Gigi and Owen's Mommy had some time together.

CATE IN JULY

Cate's first July meant a lot of time outside in the pool, learning to stand (trying to walk) and have more freedom.

Brittany's cousin, Derek, visited from Fort Lauderdale. He's so much fun.

A SITTER ON THE SCENE IN JUNE

June, 2013, and Cate has her first 'Nanny' experience. Sitter is also a term frequently utilized.

Cate's first experience with being cared for by a non-family member. This is a fenced area Brittany created in the living room.



Cate was fine, but knew she was out on the outside fun.
