CATE'S STORYBOOK

To my darling, Cate, with love and devotion. Happy first birthday.

THE MANY FACES OF CATE

EARLY OCTOBER WITH CATE, PRE-BIRTHDAY

Cate and the Ollie horse from her Father's childhood.

We have reached the month of Catherine Alia's birth. It is difficult to believe it has been one year, but on the other hand it is difficult to imagine our lives without this tiny package of walking, jabbering, smiling, laughing joy of a baby-girl.

She came into our lives the evening of October 22, 2012, and we have been forever  changed. This storybook I have created for her, simply comes from my vantage point (others may choose to do the same for her, but that isn't my journey), because I love her from the depths of my heart and soul.

Cate is a gift. She is a tiny jewel that has been set smack into the center of my life.

Seeing her attempting to sign, 'I love you," makes me stare at her in wonder. Whether signing or saying, I love you, Cate, my heart belongs to you my darling little love.
It is truly special to see Cate playing with the same toy her Father loved so much. That is toddler Brandon in the center, playing in a park in Texas. Cate is in our living room in Florida, but Ollie is still looking good all these years later.

Cate should know that her Gigi and Gaz lugged this plastic horse from Texas to Ohio to Florida. We never knew if or when our grandchild would have it, or if they would even want it. We have our precious granddaughter and she does want it.

Cate was in a Halloween costume, but needed Gaz to rescue her. He did.

Learning time in October.. She is an apt pupil

The Princess Party is almost upon us and I can't wait to see your reaction to all the festivities.

Mostly, I just want to wrap you up in my arms, hug you tightly and have you know, that without a doubt, experiencing life with you this first year has been an amazing journey that I treasure with all my heart

COME SEPTEMBER

On my birthday, September 22, my darling baby-girl turned eleven-months-old. Almost to the one-year birthday celebration and I present Cate in September.
The face that launched the love and devotion of a Gigi to her darling girl.

Helping Gigi unpack make-up from Sephora is the most fun. Those are eyeliner boxes from LancĂ´me.

My little love enjoys being outside as much as her Gigi.

Digging in Gigi's purse. The best.

Crookshanks the cat watches as Cate jabbers through the glass.

Cousin Don visits from Texas. Good times.

Fine dining at Cracker Barrle.

She does love Gigi's purse. It's Anne Kline, so it will hold up just fine.

Gigi taught Cate how to press the button on the washer and dryer, but watching is the most fun of all.

Gigi created a fall atmosphere with items from Michael's. Fall doesn't really come to So-Flo.

Signaling touchdown is something Cate loves to do, even in her highchair.

Brittany bought Cate this Princess castle for her birthday, but couldn't wait to set it up. Cate loves it.

Looking out the kitchen window. Gigi let her stand on the counter, while she held on.

Cate wipes the glass with a clean diaper. She sees us clean it, so I guess she trying to do the same. Crooks is just taking it in.

Her own outdoor chair.

Playing in her room.

One of four Halloween costumes.

Helping Gigi unpack the Halloween decorations.

Whether in a Halloween costume or a simple onesie, she is a smiling delight.
